Your Trauma Has Been Placed in a Queue
Original piano solo by Justin James
Level: Advanced
About this Composition:
Ever feel like life is like waiting in a line? Boredom is healthy. Queues can be annoying.
This is a piece that attempts to capture the state between anticipation, frustration and boredom. With little sprinkles of “muzak” for the right hand, the artificial sounds of the background music in the waiting room. Maybe a cough or two. And spot the fidgets in there!
Great piece for beginners to learn to play chords and integrate pedal points. Lots of repetition. Plenty of tactile study. The small melody fragments are simple, so it makes reading easier in terms of isolating the parts. Unlike the queue, this piece can be appointed quickly, given the right sort of practice.
