About this Composition:
One of those ostinatos that just won’t go away. A high energy, high powered musical ear worm that if not played, will transform into a tape worm and eat you alive. It attaches like plaque to an inflamed arterial canal, like a distant relative that never got who you really are, or a family of origin wound.
 
This piece is a Prelude and is ideal for recitals, exams and performance. It requires a dexterity and clarity to execute the melody, against a dense, rhythmic, harmonic texture and also clear pedal points. Why pond scum? Because it requires a lot of scrubbing to really master it cleanly and get out of the way of the music.
