About this Composition:
The modern world is complex. To investigate where some of these complexities hide is to know how to navigate them. The debate about artificial, digital, ethical continues to rage and close behind is processed food. Investigating how and why all these ingredients made their way into food would be a bottomless pit. So why not just write a piece of music that sounds like a commercial for 80’s chewing gum or food? Throwing in a little inflammation on the house. This piece changes flavours like the hyper coloured reality we live in and combines past musical styles with current problem-solving. Hyper modulation and trickery are now a standard part of music repertoire, and this can help you learn your chord progressions, such as 5-1 cadences and various turnarounds. It’s also great for “band in a box” style melody and harmony shaping. The bass needs to hold firm, supporting the right-hand riffing.
