About this Composition:
No rests for the wicked. We live in a sort of hyper reality. Rests are underappreciated, along with any space. In fact, those blood sucking puss ridden rests are just a pain in the arse, sent down from up on high to stop the music! Right? Wrong. They ARE the music. Without the space between the notes, we would not be able to process music so effectively. This piece is for students, like I was, thinking they knew it all, playing their favourite music, but forgetting that phrases, rests, and even pedal points, make the music pop.
