About this Composition:
You could be forgiven for thinking that this is a neo-classical piano version of the news theme. Although slightly more chromatic. In an etude style, this piece features a pile-up of tones—a musical emergency, with a hint of dissonance. 
 
It is hard not to write with a programmatic overtone in today’s hyper-visual culture. Taking on a sense of officialdom urgency, it is designed for sharpening your chromatic scales, with intricate rhythmic precision required and a test of hand independence. 
 
Be prepared to lighten the thumb and relax the wrist. You will need to practice slowly, lightly and repetitively to make this pile up aka collision, successful.
